Manip Challenges #001If you've been on dA for a while, you may remember the manip challenges I used to run. The original manip challenges were chat based 2 hour challenges, but as I don't have that kind of time any more (the event would be all day long, with 3 to 5 challenges in succession), I decided to adapt them to be two weeks long and not in a chatroom instead.

The Rules
You are given 8 stock images (see below) of which you have to use at least TWO in a way that we don't have to go hunting for them with a looking glass.You can use additional stock, but I ask you not to use premades - this is a challenge for your skills, not for someone else's.Your entry has to be a photomanipulation or a digital mixed media piece with a good deal of photomanipulation in it.Pl

Hello from the admins of #TheArtOfManipulation! We would really like to revive the mentoring aspect of our group and we are going to start by having a Collaboration Contest. :happybounce:
How it Will Work
For this contest, two or more artists must team up and collaborate to create an entry. One artist must be at the intermediate/expert level and the other must be a beginner. We (the admins) will decide which class you fall into and assign participants into teams (requests will be considered if there is a specific person with whom you want to partner). We hope that this contest will create new friendships and allow beginning photomanipulators to learn something new =).

The result of the voting was completly open (6 for the first Stock, 6 for the second, 6 for both) so it was up to my decision in the end ^^
So I decided to follow the advices of my group fellows and we will have the original stock as contest requirement

1. Use this Stock in your work:

2. Your work must contain a  Winged motive.
- So you can have for example an angel, a winged demon or a fairy in the foreground of your work
- Can also be a Dragon or any other winged creature
- If you want your main person to be human you need at least one additional winged creature in the foreground
- Like a lady with a raven on her shoulder, the winged creature must be an important part of your work! Not only a flock of birds in the sky!

In other words, the contest starts today and will run until the end of the month. There will also be a challenge in the middle of the  month. If you don't like the contest theme, you can do the challenge instead. If you want,  you can do both. That's completely up to you. Who hasn’t heard of the ultimate Cataclysm,  which according to the Maya calendar is supposed to strike us the 21st of December 2012? Imagine that Doomsday is upon us. How do you imagine it will happen? How do you feel about it? What would you do on your last day in this world? In this Contest we wish the see your interpretation of The End of the World, plagued with fear, terror, dread.  You can find some inspiration for the contest in the feature below :heart:
