Hi Everyone,
I am really pleased to announce the winning artwork from our Feature of the Month poll as voted by you....
Titled - Intoxicating
By FP-Digital-Art aka: Fabrizio
My favourite part of being the monthly feature holder here at Manips-Central is being able to interview some really talented artists.
Here is what Fabrizio had to share with us all...
Awww I am honored about this
How are you today?
Today I am feeling good, I have a lot of things to do so I guess it won't be a boring day. And this morning I read about this feature.. so I feel happier!
Will you tell us a little about yourself?
My real name is Fabrizio. I am 35 years old and I live in Italy since when I was born. I've been working in the port of my city for seven years. Though I love my family I decided to live on my own 5 years ago to have more freedom.
I love to go out with my friend and to travel, that's why I do it every time I can
How long have you been doing Photo Manipulations?
I opened Photoshop for the first time almost two years ago. I used it only to crop pictures or to do some ridiculous jokes! My very first photomanipulation is from the beginning of 2011.
What got you started in this style of art?
A friend of mine showed me the world of Deviantart and I was shocked how people could do some things digitally. I tried some Mixed media, some paintings, but I think with manipulations I can express myself better because I can use several images to make one.
What inspires you to create?
My biggest source is real life. I always try to show what I or people around me feel. I think there's nothing better because I am sure a lot people will recognize in it.
Another thing that inspires me is music. Sometimes the melody itself, other times some parts of lyric.
Sometimes I see some beautiful pieces around and I also get inspiration from there. I would like to remind that taking inspiration is different from making the same piece!
What advice would you give other aspiring artists?
First of all: be patient! There are a lot of things to learn and most of the time you are alone. You won't be satisfied with you works... but this is normal! Reading a lot of tutorials is a great, they helped me a lot, but I think the best thing is practice and practice again until you really know what to do. You can ask around for some help but remember that a lot of people are not willing to share their 'secrets'! That's why I wrote some tutorials for newbies
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years time?
To be honest I am good where I am. I have a job, love, good friends... I would love to be stronger and wiser. But I think we all can achieve that with experience. If I should choose a place.. I would live in the USA. I love them
Are you working on anything in particular at the moment?
I have just posted my first 'doll' manipulation. It was amazing creating it because it was something new for me. I think we all have our own style but we have to experience some new things. I am working also on two pieces trying to get better with lights and shadows. Can't wait to finish them and show them to you
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about?
I talked a lot about me, I don't want to bore the public eheheh
I invite people who don't know me to check my profile. I posted some tutorials and free stock to create your own manipulations.
Here are a few of the Fantastic works from FP-Digital-Art Gallery, I recommend go and check out his profile to see even more .........
